The Claresholm & District Museum collection consists of artifacts and archival materials that have been donated, mostly by local residents, over the years.
When objects are offered to the museum we determine whether to accept it or not based on a number of criteria and our collecting mandate, so that we may best fulfill our mission and our public trust responsibilities.
Objects that are accepted in to the collection are accessioned, catalogued and then stored or put on display. The artifact catalogue records are documented in a collections management database called InMagic/DBTextworks.
